The public country house: ‘Treasure of quiet beauty’ or a site for public histories?

 

The public country house is the theme of a two-day conference taking place at the V&A South Kensington on 16 and 17 May 2024. The event will bring together colleagues working across heritage, museums, arts & culture, and academia to collaboratively explore the past, present, and potential future/s of the British country house.
