Baltic Manors ROUTE
New Manor Project under Interreg Baltic Sea Region
A new Baltic Manors Route project, recently supported by the Interreg Baltic Sea Region program co-funded by the European Union, aims to create a cultural and tourist route that highlights the historical and architectural significance of more than 5,000 manors scattered across the rural and remote areas of the southeastern Baltic Sea Region. Baltic Manors Route has project partners from Germany, Denmark, Sweden, Poland, and Lithuania and it will – in its final design – stretch across seven countries in the region.
Running from summer 2024 to summer 2027 this initiative will boost cultural tourism, helping to preserve and promote the rich heritage of these estates. In collaboration with ENCOUNTER, a major conference will be held during the project’s timeline, focusing on the role of manors as cultural tourism destinations.
More details will be shared as the project progresses.
