Danish and Swedish manors and country houses online
Since 2014 and 2015, two databases have been accessible online. Both databases gives a complete overview of all manors and country houses in Denmark and Sweden respectively and contains a variety of information about the history of each individual estate.
The projects have been developed independently, and the databases are consequently constructed differently and also work with different definitions of what constituted a manor/country house in the two countries.

The Swedish database aims to become a central tool and resource in the academic research into manors, estates and elites in Sweden. The database focuses on providing information about the size, composition and geographical extent of the estate (including adjoining peasant lands) at different times in history.

The aim of the Danish database is first and foremost to interpret the history of the manors and country houses of Denmark to the general public. The manor landscape in Denmark is visualized through different maps were the geographical position of each manor is marked. For each manor, the database contains general information about the history, the owners, the buildings and the cultural environment as well as specific information about size at different periods in time.
