In 2026, the Attingham Trust will offer four courses, beginning with “Sweden: Stockholm and its Hinterland” (8–14 June). This course explores the rich artistic patronage of successive Swedish royal dynasties, as well as that of the nobility and wealthy merchant class in and around Stockholm.

Next, “The 73rd Attingham Summer School” (27 June–12 July) will invite participants to experience country houses across Sussex, Derbyshire, Nottinghamshire, Buckinghamshire, and Oxfordshire. This renowned summer school remains a classic among its peers.

The third course, “Royal Collection Studies” (6–15 September), will allow participants to study the magnificent holdings of the Royal Collection—including paintings, decorative art, jewellery, books, and arms and armour—and examine the architecture and interiors of the palaces that house them.

Finally, “From College Library to Country House” (7–11 September) will investigate the important relationship between college libraries and country house libraries.
