
The Centre for the Study of Historic Irish Houses and Estates will be hosting the 24th Annual Historic Houses International Conference on May 11–12, 2026
The conference, entitled “Life Cycles and the Historic House,” will be focusing on life-cycle events and associated rituals. Birth, marriage, death, coming-of-age, succession, and inheritance will be among the themes examined. The conference will be treating the subject as pertaining to the servants, tenants, and labourers as well as the lordships.
The organizers of the conference, the Centre for the Study of Historic Irish Houses and Estates, is located at the History Department of Maynooth University, Ireland.
