Call for Papers: A Sense of Place: Interpreting Manorial Culture in Modern Tourism

The European Network for Country Houses and Estate Research (ENCOUNTER) and the Baltic Manor Route will be hosting a joint conference at the European University Viadrina in Frankfurt (Oder), Germany, from 25 to 27 June 2026.

The conference will explore how manor houses have been transformed from elite residences into commercial attractions, primarily for the middle class, and will address the role of manorial heritage in modern tourism.
